1. For the British Political Resident , this was the last straw. 2. In 1819, MacMurdo was posted as British Political Resident stationed at Bhuj. 3. The Political Resident supported this view, but the Government of India rejected it. 4. Next he was transferred back to Persia as Political Resident ( 1862 to 1872 ). 5. After four years as Governor of Aden he became Political Resident in the Persian Gulf from 1961 to 1966. 6. During his time as Political Resident , he was promoted to lieutenant colonel in 1866 and then colonel in 1871. 7.
